Please join NFC for its next Community Advisory Board meeting on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Lake Point Center - Tuskegee Airmen Board Room - located at 2401 Lake Street, Omaha, NE 68111. The theme of this meeting will be: The Traumas of Violence Presenter: Donna Polk Ph.D., L.M.P.H. Chief Executive Officer of Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition, Inc. The Community Advisory Board is made up of people who are child welfare stakeholders in Douglas and Sarpy counties. The Board discusses issues of concern in child welfare, including foster care, visitation, family team meetings and treatment services. A portion of each meeting is set aside for public comments, questions and concerns. Nebraska Families Collaborative encourages those who wish to speak during the public comment portion of the meeting to contact NFC at (402) 492-2532 to reserve a time or simply come to the meeting.
