Omaha, Neb. – “Every Movement is a Milestone” is the theme for this year’s University Hospital Auxiliary Kaleidoscope event. The event will be held on Saturday, March 9 at the La Vista Conference Center. Nelson and Linda Gordman are the honorary chairs for the event. Fred Wilson, survivor of the Von Maur shooting, will be the keynote speaker for the evening. Kaleidoscope is an annual, philanthropic event organized by the University Hospital Auxiliary. The evening includes a dinner and silent auction. During the program, the Honorary Kaleidoscope Award will be presented. Funds raised at the event will benefit the new Lifestyle Rehabilitation Center. This center will focus on promoting independence for patients of all ages who experience chronic and progressive debilitating conditions. Rehabilitation experts, including physical and occupational therapists, work collaboratively with patients to develop individualized plans utilizing state-of-the-art therapies and equipment. For those recovering from stroke, transplant, cancer, orthopedic injury as well as those who are living with Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis or a developmental delay… every movement is a milestone. UHA Board President is Gerri Plautz. The event co-chairs are Nancy Gordon, Janette Garvin and Angie Thorell.
