The unimaginable tragedy that occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary during the holiday season was heartbreaking and left us all with a sense of unsettling helplessness. In the wake of the senselessness, parents across the country are holding their children a little tighter, and policies are being examined and changed to ensure the safety of our children and the sanctity of our schools. Omaha has experienced our share of heartache due to acts of senseless violence. We have been there, and we want to help. Omaha is hosting the only satellite Run/Walk 5K in the country to benefit the Sandy Hook School Support Fund. This will be a chance for runners and walkers of all abilities and ages to come together to show their support. 100% of the $25 registration fee will go to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund!
