Native American artistry will be on display Saturday, Dec. 1 as the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) Sapp Fieldhouse is turned into a showcase of work from Nebraska’s Native American community. The event, an inaugural holiday extravaganza being coordinated by UNO’s Inter-Tribal Student Council, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Items on display and on sale at the event will include Native American beadwork; star quilts; silver and gemstone jewelry; paintings and prints; and other holiday gifts.
