SCHEDULE (all events at W. Dale Clark Library; free and open to the public) Oct 19 AND 20 Friday, Oct 19 Sugar/Spice: Opening Night Party; W. Dale Clark Library. 6:30-9:30 pm featuring • 7-7:30 pm performance: Poets Stacey Waite and Katie F-S introduce high school slam poets. • Altered books art exhibit • Edible Books contest (to enter the contest: http://omahalibrary.org/ediblebooks) • Bass Line Quartet, all-girl string quartet from Millard South, performing throughout the evening Saturday, Oct 20 (W. Dale Clark Library); The Lit Fest Guide to Etiquette for Women Writers 1 pm: Your Guide to Women’s Work: the professional aspects of writing/editing/publishing. (with panelists Joy Castro, Liz Kay, Lisa Knopp, Rhonda Sherman) 2 pm: Your Guide to the Literary Thriller: Joy Castro reads from "Hell or High Water," and discusses the maps and plots of her New Orleans-set novel. 3 pm: Your Guide to Literary Fame: Rhonda Sherman discusses the New Yorker Festival, the New Yorker magazine, and the art of the literary spectacle. (w/ lit fest founder/director Timothy Schaffert) 4 pm: Your Guide to Family Dysfunction: Elizabeth Crane reads from her portrait of a family, the novel "We Only Know So Much." 5 pm: Your Guide to Unladylike Demeanor: women writers making people nervous. (with panelists Elizabeth Crane, Marilyn Coffey, Katie F-S, and Stacey Waite; moderated by Sally Brown Deskins)
