Description:

“The Vitae Monologues”, a highly acclaimed and groundbreaking theatrical production by Epiphany Studio Productions will be performed at the University of Nebraska-Omaha on Wednesday, October 19th, 2011 at 7:00 – 9:00pm in the UNO Ballroom (6001 Dodge Street, Omaha 68182). Parking is available across the street at St. Margaret Mary Church (6116 Dodge Street). The event is free of charge and open to the public. “The Vitae Monologues” is a 2-person, one act play by Epiphany Studio Productions, featuring international performers Jeremy and Sarah Stanbary, based on eye-opening and inspiring true stories of post-abortive women and men who tragically suffered in silence for years from the aftermath of abortion before eventually finding healing and forgiveness. “The Vitae Monologues” seeks to bring greater awareness to the reality that abortion is often a deeply traumatic experience that goes unnamed and unrecognized due to a culture of denial about its long lasting negative consequences, which are affecting millions of men and women today. These true stories of hope and healing and the triumphant beauty of human life deserve a voice within our broken and wounded culture, in order to help foster healing and to shed light upon the complexity of Post-Abortion Trauma, which is too frequently undermined and suffered in silence. “The Vitae Monologues” was developed and written by Epiphany Productions founder, Jeremy Stanbary, in collaboration with Silent No More Minnesota and features original music from musician/composer Mr. Nicholas Lemme, a music instructor and founding member of the Spaghetti Western String Company. Jeremy received his Theatre Arts degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2000 before moving to Minnesota. Admission to the UNO performance is open to the public and free of charge. Please note: this play may not be suitable for youth under 12 years of age.
