Boomer's Roadmap: Navigatin the Art of Aging
In the state of Iowa, 330 million hours are devoted annually to the ever increasing senior population that is being cared for in their home by an informal family caregiver. The majority of these informal family caregivers are part of the Baby Boom generation, and are in search of services, resources, and information that will help them take care of their loved one.
The Boomer’s Roadmap: Navigatin’ the Art of Aging, is taking place on Tuesday, November 1st from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
This is a free event where informal family caregivers can be exposed to what is available to them in their local area, including the service you provide.
Event Specifics: Place: The Mid-America Center, One Arena Way, Council Bluffs, IA 51501
Day: Tuesday, November 1st Time: 3p.m. – 7 p.m. Cost: No charge for attendees.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Mrs. Mary Maxwell, a You Tube sensation and humorist on what it is like to be a senior. Mary will present to everyone in attendance as well as all vendors starting at 6pm. All activity is to stop during this time so all focus & respect can be given to Mary’s presentation. This event will have over 90 vendor booths dealing with subjects such as: • Healthcare • Investment and Finance • Leisure • Pharmaceuticals, Pharmacies, and Hospitals • In-Home Services • Informational and Supportive Services • Community Resources • Relaxation and Hobbies • And much more! There will be a Nacho Bar provided for all Vendors and Attendees.
