Royals and Sarpy County Make Marriage Official
Omaha Royals president Alan Stein announced today the Royals are moving to their new ballpark in Sarpy County.  As of 5:00 p.m. today, the contract approved on March 17, 2009 stands and plans to build the ballpark which will be the new home of the Omaha Royals at Highway 370 and 120th Street are moving forward. 
Huskers To Wear Throwbacks for 300th Consecutive Sellout
When Nebraska hosts Louisiana-Lafayette on Sept. 26, 2009, a wonderful moment in Husker football history will be celebrated.  Memorial Stadium, home to the Cornhuskers since 1923, will celebrate an unprecedented and NCAA-record 300 consecutive sellouts with the third sellout of the 2009 season. 
UNO To Join WCHA
The UNO hockey program will become a member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association beginning with the 2010-2011 season.  The announcement came Friday from WCHA commissioner Bruce McLeod.

Osborne Will Stay Indefinitely
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor Harvey Perlman and Athletic Director Tom Osborne have mutually agreed to extend Osborne's appointment as athletic director indefinitely. Originally the agreement stated that Osborne would serve as Athletic Director until June 2010. Perlman and Osborne have now agreed that they will review the position on an annual basis.
