Jennifer joined the Action 3 News Team in August 2012. She may be new to Nebraska, but she is a Midwesterner down to her core. She is eager to meet new people and get involved in the community.
Jennifer is an Emmy-award winning journalist who comes to KMTV from KSTP in Minneapolis-St. Paul where she worked for more than six years. Some of her most memorable experiences include covering the collapse of the I-35W bridge and the Republican National Convention in 2008. Jennifer says it’s the day to day storytelling that she cherishes the most. “I never take for granted how people are willing to share their triumphs and tragedies, and I consider it an honor to pass along their messages to you.”
Before going to KSTP, Jennifer lived and worked in her home state of Wisconsin. She co-anchored the number one rated morning show at WAOW in Wausau from 2003 to 2006. She grew up outside Milwaukee and is a 2003 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She hopes you don’t fault her for her Badger roots. She is still excited to catch some live Cornhusker action.
2012 has been a busy year for Jennifer. In addition to her new role at KMTV, Jennifer got married in July and had the opportunity to travel to Japan and Thailand for her honeymoon. Jennifer and her husband, Andrew, are sports fans who also love music, travel and the arts. They plan to check out as many restaurants as possible in Omaha, so if you have a suggestion, Jennifer would love to hear it. And if you ever see Jennifer and her husband out riding their bikes, stop them and say hello.
