Double Murder Suspect Denied Bond

Omaha, NE - Emotions boil over when the family of two murder victims faced the accused killer in court today. From fainting to hysterical outbursts, the murder of sisters Saundra and Renota weigh heavy on the hearts and minds of the Brown family.

"He's taken my mom away from me and my family," says daughter and victim, Whitney Brown.

The suspect, Fabian Hands faces multiple charges.  Two first degree murder, two use of a weapon, and one attempted sexual asssault.

According to investigators, officers responding to a 9-1-1 call, entered a north Omaha home and found Hands wearing nothing but an undershirt. Seconds later they say, Whitney Brown ran out of a bedroom and screamed "he tried to rape me, he killed my mom."  Hands then fought officers making the arrest, investigators say.  The report indicates, they later found blood splattered everywhere in the bedroom and kitchen and a trail of pooled blood leading to the basement where they found both victims, Whitney's mother Saundra and her sister, Renota.

"He was a jealous man and I told my mom just leave him alone," said Whitney.

Hearing the gruesome details in court only enraged the emotions of Whitney Brown who says she experienced the horror first hand.  With immense grief seeming like it will never fade, the Browns find comfort in each other and the charges against hands.

"I want him to suffer how he made all of us suffer. I want him to feel the pain that my mom and my aunt felt."

Hands is being held without bond and faces life in prison or the death penalty if convicted.  Investigators say he admitted to stabbing the women and wants the electric chair or lethal injection.
