Hannah Pickett joined Action 3 News in April of 2010 as a morning reporter. Prior to that, she worked as a general assignment reporter for KCCI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa.
Hannah's career in journalism started early. When she was 15, she was a sports reporter for hometown newspaper, the Winterset Madisonian, in Winterset, Iowa. She eventually became the Sports Editor before breaking into the Television Journalism industry.
Hannah graduated from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, in 2010 with a major in Journalism and Mass Communication. She attended Central College in Pella, Iowa, in her first year of college where she played soccer and ran track, before transferring to Simpson.
Hannah grew up in southwest Iowa and is thrilled to stay in the Midwest and report stories that have an impact on people's day to day lives.
When she's not working, Hannah enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, going to sporting events, and walking her Maltese dog, Boston.
