Omaha, NE -  We can't avoid them. The spring crash and splash sound of tires over potholes echoes through Omaha.

Drivers have noticed.

"Just a little crazy. It's like moving in and out of some type of obstacle course to make sure you don't hit em."

"There's several around town. Pretty much anywhere there's a lot of water and a lot of traffic it's causing us problems."

Out in full force, Public Works crews are patching up the problem one hole at a time. They've been everywhere.

Saddle Creek, West Center Road, 50th Street and 135th.

Crews patched a monster pothole at 132nd.

Action 3 spotted a few problem areas as well. 84th Street and 74th and Grover.

"Where haven't I seen them is maybe the better question. Like all over."

Like an obstacle course drivers are forced to maneuver through the streets.

"I mean every year the roads I take to work, there's always potholes there. When they're fixing them there's signs, you have to pause and go around."

The city is answering calls and emails daily for pothole reports. Assistant Street Engineer Austin Rowser says it's keeping their guys busy as ever.

"We look for things that are gonna be safety hazards and obviously high traffic roads are gonna take priority on that but we're filling those in with cold patch right now trying to take of the ride quality out there for the commuters."
